• Athenaeum teams compete in a number of league and cup competitions organised by London's banks and insurance companies. Summary details are below, followed by the fixtures.
• Three Athenaeum teams play in the Banks Swiss, all captained by Steven Walsh.
• An Athenaeum 1st team and 2nd team play in the Combined Banks and Insurance Chess League, its associated cup competitions (the Bowring King and the Durham Plate competition), and the Frost Wilmot Team Blitz competition.
